Job Description :

  • We are seeking passionate and detail-oriented Blind and Low Vision Raters to join our team and assist in creating meaningful content (audio and video) for training and interacting with large language models (LLM). In this role, you will use your unique perspective to provide feedback, ask questions, and help shape AI systems that better serve individuals with visual impairments. Your work will be pivotal in improving the inclusivity and accessibility of emerging AI technologies.
  • Content Creation (Audio & Video):
  • Assist in creating diverse content formats such as audio recordings, video demonstrations, and tutorials.
  • Ensure the content is engaging, accurate, and accessible to a wide range of audiences, especially those with visual impairments.
  • Work with the team to develop narratives, descriptions, and scenarios that can be used to test and train AI models.
  • Comfortable being featured in video content
  • Interact with Large Language Models (LLM):
  • Engage with LLMs by asking questions, prompting responses, and assessing the relevance, accuracy, and tone of their replies.
  • Provide feedback on how LLM responses can be made more inclusive, accessible, and sensitive to the needs of people with visual impairments.
  • Suggest improvements to the language model based on lived experiences and accessibility requirements.
  • User Experience Testing:
  • Participate in user testing of AI applications and interfaces, providing feedback on accessibility features and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with developers and content creators to ensure AI systems deliver content that is intuitive and user-friendly for individuals with low or no vision.
  • Collaboration & Feedback: Collaborate with a cross-functional team of AI specialists, developers, content creators, and accessibility experts to improve product development.
  • Report issues, suggest improvements, and provide constructive feedback on AI-generated content to help refine the technology.
  • This person is responsible for configuring, testing and deploying the Epic software according to decisions made by operational and technical SMEs
  • Participate in initiatives by gathering and analyzing information, preparing structured documentation, presenting findings, and generally troubleshooting as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Experience with creating content for audio and video platforms.
  • Familiarity with screen readers or other accessibility tools.
  • Basic knowledge of AI systems or machine learning (a plus, but not required).
  • Experience in accessibility testing or working with assistive technologies.
  • Language Proficiency: Verbal expertise in the specific language being selected for Cultural Affinity: In reference to the language selected for, the candidate must be a Native of the country the language has originated from.
  • Blind or Low Vision: Must be legally blind or have a significant visual impairment.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to articulate thoughts clearly and effectively in written and spoken communication.
  • Comfortable with Technology: Comfortable using digital tools, software, and applications (such as screen readers or braille devices).
  • Familiarity with AI and LLMs: A basic understanding of how AI language models work or willingness to learn.
  • Creative and Critical Thinking: Able to think critically and creatively about accessibility, content creation, and user experience.
  • Empathy & Advocacy: A strong passion for advocacy and improving accessibility for individuals with visual impairments.
